The hare and hounds run of yesterday resulted in a victory for the hares, Messrs. Norton, '85, and Ayer, '86. The hounds in charge of Mr. White, '85, made a good chase, but were out-witted by the hares. The first four hounds, Messrs. White, Matthewson, Appleton and Robbins, came in the order named and within a few seconds of one another. Mr. Matthewson owing to his handicap drops to fourth place, and second and third prizes goes to White and Appleton respectively. Eleven men were in the run and all the hounds kept well together, until Arlington Heights were reached, when several fell behind. Captain Smith acted as timekeeper. The next run of the club will be on Saturday when the club will go to Newburyport, returning Sunday.
