Of our six first prizes three were won by representatives of '82, and three by representatives of '83, all of whom will probably represent the College for the next two and three years at Mott Haven. In fact, the only member of the Team who will not be here next year is Mr. F. B. Keene, '80, who took second prize in the Standing High and the Pole Vault, so we may hope for some success next year, too, if the men will train carefully. The results of training were certainly capitally exemplified at our own Spring Meeting, as well as at Mott Haven, and we think that our athletes owe it to the College as well as to themselves to train as well and as carefully next year.
Since the publication of our best-on-record tables in No. 5 of the present volume of the Crimson, several of the records have been bettered by American amateurs, which are certainly worthy of more than a passing mention, but lack of space will prevent our giving any extended account of the performances. Early in the fall, the tables, corrected up to the date of publication, will be given with each number of the Crimson, but until then the following list of corrections will have to suffice. To begin with the Table of American College records, we have discovered that Mr. Dick's 1-4 mile record of 53 seconds was not made in College Sports, but in the Keystone Athletic Club Sports in Philadelphia, in the spring of 1877, so that the record cannot stand in the College Table. The best College record for the 1-4 mile, then, falls to E. J. Wendell, of Harvard, with a record of 53 1-2 seconds. Also, the half-mile record credited to Mr. Trumbull of Yale should instead be given to Mr. Colgate of Columbia, who ran in 2,05 at the Columbia Spring Games of 1877. The following corrections should therefore be made in this table up to June 15: -
EVENT. RECORD. NAME. COLLEGE. WHERE MADE.
M. S.
1/4-mile run. 53 1/2 E. J. Wendell. Harvard. Harvard College
Games, May, 1880.
1/2-mile run. 2.5 R. R. Colgate. Columbia. Columbia College
Games, May, 18???
1-mile run. 4.37 3-5 T de W. Cuyler. Yale. Intercoll. Games,

Pole leaping 9 4 R. B. Tewksbury. Princeton. Intercoll. Games,
May 29, 1880.
* Also best American amateur record.
In our Table of American Amateur records, the following figures should be changed: -
EVENT. RECORD. NAME. CLUB. WHERE MADE.
M. S.
1-MILE RUN. 11.29 L. E. Myers. Manhattan A. C. Mott Haven,
Standing high Ft In. May 31, 1880.

*Running brd. May 29, 1880.
jump 21 8 J. S. Voorhees. Brooklyn A. C. Brooklyn,
June 5, 1880.
* Mr Voorhees is the gentleman whose record of 21 ft. 4 1/2 in. was doubted last fall, owing to a doubt about the measurement. He now unquestionably heads the American amateur record.
In the Table of English Amateur records, the Clubs of the Standing High Jumpers are as follows: -
E. Hargreaves, Washington A. C., instead of Oxford Univ. A. C. is given; E. Moore, Burnley Cricket Club.
In the table of English Coll. records, the Hurdle Race record should be credited to C. H. Jackson of Oxford, with a record of 16 seconds, made at Oxford, Nov. 14, 1865, instead of to the 4 gentlemen mentioned as having records of 16 2-5 seconds.
