The death of Stanley Bagg Pennock is one of the saddest losses that the Class of 1915 has yet sustained. The thought of his classmates at this time will be focused not so much upon his ability as an athlete and student, but upon his quiet, kindly nature which so easily won for him the respect and warm favor of his entire class.
To those who knew him intimately the news of his death brings with painful suddenness realization of what his friendship meant. Those of us who were his team-mates are saddened beyond expression by the loss of one who was so essential to the bond of unity and fellowship that developed during four years on the field.
Pennock's brief career will always stand before us as worthy product of quiet, unassuming persistence, high principles and wholesome, sturdy character. W. H. TRUMBULL, JR., '15.
