A former Student Council representative and Yard proctor announced publicly this month that he is looking for a wife. At present, he is looking in Hong Kong, but he reports that he had much rather resume the search in Cambridge.
In the featured article in The American Magazine this month, Edmond J. Gong '52 3L, explains that his parents want him to marry a Chinese girl to be selected by his 80-year-old grandmother. Gong, who is visiting China for the first time, and has never seen his grandmother, wants to choose his won mate.
Born in Miami, Gong considers himself an American and disagrees with his parents in trying to arrange a match for him. He confides, "What I really hope is that I do not find a wife in China at all, so that I can come back to America and start the search over again."
